Musings #3 Facelift — not me – the house

Since we stayed home this holiday, we decided to “facelift” our home. After weeks of searching for the perfect hardwood flooring, we decided on “Spice.” We chose bamboo as our wood. It is not only durable, it is environmentally friendly. Bamboo is a grass, which can be harvested every five to seven years — saving the forest trees.

It took a week of living with sawdust – stirring it into dinners, brushing it out of hair and clothing. We were literally living and breathing sawdust, but it was worth it. The floors are beautiful.
